Did you know that we move on average every 5 years.
We fall in love, get married, have kids, get divorced, downsize, get new jobs and so on. As life evolves, so do our needs and requirements.
The problem is that because we are creatures of habit, familiarity and nostalgia, we often carry with us everything we’ve accumulated over the years and things that have been passed down from generations. This STUFF can take up a lot of space in our lives and our homes.
With Avenue, we can help you transition through life by making sure your space not only looks nice but functions and flows. This is why the first step in our process is getting to know who you are, how you life and what you need
Designing a home for families takes careful planning in order to create a safe, comfortable and inviting place that everyone can call their home.
Versatility – Our curated solutions double up in functionality to save space and money
Adaptability – We make sure your furniture can grow with your family so you don’t have to reinvest every year
Comfort & Affordability – Avenue designers combine style with comfort & affordability so your place doesn’t just look great but it feels great too.
Functionality –Everything has a purpose and place to ensure your home if filled with those everyday joyful moments instead of unnecessary stuff.
DOWNSIZING & RELOCATING
Often our space defines who we are and how we live and changing spaces means we sometimes have to change what we’ve been doing for so many years.
Many of our clients think they can simply move their old life and belongings from one space to the next. The problem is that nothing ever fits because the new space is not the same as the old.
Our downsizing & relocation solutions include help with the following:
Purging – The hardest part in downsizing & relocating is letting go. At Avenue, we understand that it isn’t easy to move on but have made it a little easier with our MARKETPLACE. We can help you recycle your cherished possessions back into the cycle of life, passing down what once worked for you onto someone else who needs it more.
Getting Organized – Once we’ve identified what is really worth keeping, it’s important to find a place for everything to go in your new place otherwise it will takeover and consume your new home.
The Perfect Fit – Just because you’ve moved to a different space, doesn’t mean you have to stop doing what you love (entertaining, reading, cooking, exercising, working, reading, playing with your loved ones). You may just need a different set up to what you had before with new pieces specifically designed with smaller spaces in mind.
A home should be an extension of who we are and how we live. It is a place that we can call our home enabling us to do the things we love and want to accomplish.
Individualism – Our design team gets to know YOUR STYLE by taking the time to learn about your interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes and takes the time to understand what it’s like to live a day in the life of YOU. With this information, we can help design the perfect place that not only looks good but works too.
Balance – Mixing and matching textures, shapes and colours to create the perfect space comes with practice and skill. Our designers are skilled at paring 2 opposites together to ensure an equal balance in a home that may contain two very different people.
Adaptability – Life as 1 can suddenly turn into life for 2 (or even 3 or more). Our designs for singles & couples are built with purpose in mind. Comfy enough for 1 -2 but can easily accommodate for 4 or more without overwhelming your place with furniture that may only be used occasionally during the year.
